Bonnielee L Swanson

Bonnielee and her mom were faithful in church. They both gave their lives to Christ and

were baptized.

Because of her mom’s health issues they moved to Tucson, Arizona when Bonnielee

was 14 years old, in 1945. They soon found a home at First Baptist Church of Tucson.

Bonnielee and Elmer Swanson were married for 28 years before Elmer passed away.

They enjoyed taking their RV out and camping with friends.

Cooking was special to Mom. Her spice cake, homemade rolls, and homemade noodles

were some of her delightful treats. She also enjoyed singing and music.

She also had a special knack of being helpful to others.

Bonnielee is survived by her three children; Michael Sheaffer, James Swanson, and

Dena DeMent as well as five grandchildren; Timothy Sheaffer, Monique Reid, Danielle

Ingold, Megan Carder, and Stephen Sheaffer who preceded her in death. And her eight

grandchildren; Kayla, Olivia, Audrey, Henry Sheaffer and Ava, Levi, Liam, and Hucksley

Ingold. We all are blessed by her faithful prayers for each one of us.

Most of Mom”s life was to be independent, but as things got harder, her children were

able to care for her, ensuring a closer bond.

Mom met her Heavenly Father on July 28, 2025 with her family there with her.

We are looking forward to a Heavenly reunion.

A funeral service for Bonnielee will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at External Service Location, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
