Carolyn Marie Tyrone Huffman was born May 27, 1933 in Columbia, Mississippi and passed away on May 16th, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Essie Tyrone and husband A. E. Huffman. Carolyn is survived by her four children, Debra (Nick) Bacon, Nancy (Terry) Blair, Steve (Nita) Huffman, James Huffman and “adopted” son, Carlos Leon. Lovingly known as “Meme” she was deeply loved and cherished by 8 grandkids, 9 great-grandkids and 1 great-great granddaughter and their spouses. She attended 22nd Street Baptist church where she taught the first grade Sunday School class and VBS for many years. Well known as a kind and gentle soul, she was quick to share her kindness with family, friends, caregivers, strangers and will be tremendously missed.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. Funeral service will then begin at 12:30 PM at East Lawn Palms Chapel, with internment to follow.
