

Dail was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Howard and Elizabeth “Betty” Kyle, nee Smith on May 5, 1947. He was the first of five children, whom he proceeds in death: Howard was a lifelong Navy Chief Petty Officer and settled the family in Salem, Oregon. There, Dail graduated from high school and met his first wife, Sylvia Rothweiler, whom he was married to from 1970-1982. They had four daughters.
After high school, Dail joined the Navy and served as a hospital corpsman from 1965-2007. He served on active duty in Vietnam, completing two tours. After being honorably discharged from active duty, Dail remained in the Naval reserves as a hospital corpsman. During his 42 year career in the Navy, Dail advanced to the rank of HMC(NAC). He was attached to the Marines, Special Boat Unit, Coronado, Naval Special Warfare and 4th FSSG-Med Co A. “Doc” as he was known to his shipmates, cherished and honored the men and women he served with and was honored in return.
Dail spent most of his civilian career in the medical community as a surgical technician after studying medicine at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. In his later years, he attained his real estate license and worked as a realtor as well.
Dail is survived by his wife of seven years, Pamela Embree-Kyle of Tucson Arizona; his four daughters: BethAnn Keough of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Lorna Richardson of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Tabitha Dennison of Rochester, Washington and Amanda Tyler of Richland Washington. Four siblings: Paul Kyle of Palm Springs, California and Caryn Smith, Martha Reynolds and Mark Kyle, all of Florida. He was also a loving uncle to eight nieces and nephews and grandfather to 11 grandchildren, all of whom he dearly loved and very proud of.
