Donna Vee Meyer

She was born in Valparaiso, IN on September 22, 1941 to James and Helen (Chelf) Ramsey, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Wheeler High School, Wheeler, IN. Her husband, James R. Meyer, Sr., preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons: James (Cheryl) Meyer, Jr., Steven (Renee) Meyer and Jason (Dora) Meyer. Her daughter, Karen Meyer preceded her in death. She is also survived by her sister, Avonne Tomerlin, of Valparaiso, husband, Thomas R. Gibbs of Vail, seven grandchildren: Danielle (Eddie) Quagliata, Jolene Meyer, Emily (Mark) Prechtel, Audra Meyer, Andrew Meyer, Kevin (Misty) Meyer and Greta Meyer; two great grandchildren: Eddie Quagliata, Jr. and Joseph Quagliata and numerous nieces and nephews. She embraced the Gibbs family as they did her. They also survive her: Tom (Marcela) Gibbs, Clariza Tchao, JT Tchao, Andrew Tchao, TJ (Sophia) Gibbs, Adam Gibbs, Abram Gibbs, Gemma Gibbs, Kelly (Ernie) Waterman, Michale Moore, Jim Moore, Alyssa Moore, Emmalynn Moore and Asher Moore.

She had a strong faith and handled even the most difficult of burdens with grace. Donna was a very accepting person who welcomed her friends into her life and treated them as family. She instilled in her children a strong sense of faith and high moral character. Donna developed many friendships in her careers at Indiana Information Controls in Valparaiso and State Farm Insurance in Woodland Hills, CA and Tucson, AZ. She was the life of the party, every party, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation with the family will be at 9:00 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m., immediately followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita in the Desert Catholic Church in Vail, AZ, 13260 E. Colossal

Cave Road, Vail, AZ on December 20, 2023. Services will be arranged by East Lawn Palms Mortuary in Tucson, AZ.
