Dorothy L. Peterson, 97, passed away on Wednesday, October 19th. She joins her parents, Lulu and Edward Schmidt, her husband, Charles Edward Peterson, son, Charles, Jr., and daughter, Vivian, who preceded her in death. Dorothy, an only child, was born Oct 7, 1914 in Chicago, IL, where she met and married Charles (Charlie). They moved their family to Tucson in the early 60's, where they owned the Sunland Motel, until retirement. They were fortunate to celebrate their 50th anniversary shortly before he passed away. Dorothy was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and caring friend. She will be greatly missed by her daughter-in-law, Marian and family, Nancy, Michelle and family, and the many friends whose lives she touched upon. Funeral services will be held at East Lawn Palms Chapel on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 12:00 p.m.
