

Dorothy “Dot” Tappero, 90, passed, to be with the Lord on 10/15/2014, peacefully surrounded by family. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 57 years, Joe; son Max; brother Porter; sister Margarete. She is survived by her son Jerry; daughter-in-law Jeannette; grandchildren Jeff, Stacia,Travis, Justin (Lindsey); great-grandchildren Sedona and Finley, and many nieces and nephews.
Dot worked for Sears Roebuck and Lou Registers of Tucson for many years. She also was a member of Bethel Community Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School and was the Treasurer for several years. Dot lived a full active life. She and Joe enjoyed taking summer camping trips in the White Mountains, especially made for fond family memories. She was a generous person to all. She had a “green thumb” and enjoyed tending to her flower garden in their back yard. Several turtles where known to mingle around the yard as well. Her pride and joy was her family, especially the gleam in her eyes when she spoke of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by family and many friends. A special thanks goes to the staff of Seniors Helping Seniors for their hours of assistance caring for her in the last few months. They were a blessing to her.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, through Bethel Community Baptist Church, 446 S. Plumer, Tucson, AZ 85719, to a memorial fund in her name. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday Oct 21, 2014, 10:00am at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd.
