

Ella Mae Guillory, 81, of Tucson, AZ died peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2013 with her husband and son by her side. Visitation will be on Thursday April 25th from 4PM to 8PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 7 East University Blvd, located on the northeast corner of University Blvd and Stone Avenue. Rosary will be recited at 7PM. Mass will be held on Friday, April 26th 10AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 388 West University Blvd. Burial will be at Holy Hope Cemetery. Ella was born in Mallet, Louisiana on December 31, 1931. She was the second of 12 siblings. Ella was married to Arlington Guillory on August 21, 1955. They were married 58 years. Ella moved to Tucson in the early 1960’s. She loved the clear blue sky and the dry heat. Ella worked in Housekeeping for close to 40 years. Those she worked for were not just employers, they were friends. She remained in contact with them regularly although she did retire in 2005. After retiring, she then had more time to focus on her favorite hobbies, gardening and quilting. She was also a volunteer at Waverly Park Healthcare Center. Ella had tremendous faith and a most giving heart. She enjoyed being a member of the Legion of Mary, which offered her more opportunities to serve God and others. Ella is survived by her husband, Arlington and son, Phil, both of Tucson. She is also survived by 10 siblings, many other relatives and friends. Ella is preceded in death by her parents, Vicaire and Mary Bellow and one sister, Sister Marcia Bellow. The family wishes to thank the ICU staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for their gentleness, attentiveness, honesty and support in the care of Ella.
