Elvira Y. Molina, 80, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on November 26, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Born on January 28, 1945, in Mission, Texas, Elvira later made Tucson her home. She attended Pueblo High School and married the love of her life, Ricardo J. Molina, on June 8, 1963.
Elvira was the proud owner of Molina’s Income Tax Services, a business she built and nurtured for over 50 years. She had a sincere passion for serving her community and cherished her clients — many of whom became like family. Her legacy was one of devotion, loyalty, and hardwork.
She enjoyed her Sunday casino trips with her son Ernesto, a simple ritual that filled her spirit with laughter and joy. She taught her family how to dance cumbias and corridos in her kitchen — a memory that will live in every heart and every song.
She will be remembered for her bougie style, her quick wit, her fierce love, and her willful determination. Elvira lived life her way — bold, independent, radiant — and she left the same way.
Elvira was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ricardo J. Molina Sr., her mother, Maria Louisa Morales, her grandchild, Ernesto J. Molina Jr., and her siblings, Ray, Ana Maria, and Alfredo Valdez, as well as Victor, Leonard, and Nick Morales.
She is survived by her children, Maria Molina, Ricardo J. Molina Jr. and his wife Michelle, Ernesto J. Molina Sr., and Veronica Molina. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Christopher, Erika, Elizabeth, Shane, and Sean Molina; Danny Cazares; Savannah and Cheyanne Hubbard; Mari and Reyanna Robles. Elvira also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Persaeus and Christopher Molina; Aubriana, Dallas, and Daniel Jr. Cazares; Nicolas Escobar; and Hazel.
Elvira is also survived by her sisters, Jane Valdez Bravo, Tammy Rovero, and Maggie Contreras and her husband Eddie.
A Memorial Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn, located at 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706-2520, on December 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following the Memorial, a Graveside Service will take place at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life at The American Legion at 5845 E. 22nd St., Tucson, AZ 85711, immediately following the burial.
Elvira Y Molina will be remembered fondly by her family and friends.
