My heart and many blessings go out to the family.  Ernie was a good friend growing up at Pueblo Gardens... he will be missed!

I did a few sets solo for the early (Kids) part of a birthday party yesterday. Ernie liked my children's songs, and I thought of Him throughout. At sunset, I saw a Falcon drafting on the warm air. It came very close to the patio, and dipped a wing. I knew then Ernesto had heard the show. Krista & I miss his smile so very much.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ernie and I went to Rincon together and he was always such a sweetie. I just found out yesterday, as we had lost touch since we graduated, but my heart still breaks for all of you. Ernie, you will be missed by so many.

My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family! I am very condolences about him so he rests in peace with god who is taking care of him! It's nice showing some photos that I remembered when I was a kid around your family! May God Bless you always! Love, Orlando

Tina, Maria, and Charlie - my heart is with you all. I have so many wonderful memories of Ernie from high school - going to concerts, pizza and deep fried mushrooms at mama's pizza, downtown Saturday nights, and endless hours of conversations to name just a few. We shared a lot of laughter and tears over the years and had a smile i will not soon forget. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and will be missed by so many.

I was sory to hear about Ernie.  My thoughts are with you, cousins, during this difficult time. Love to you all.

Ernie - You will always be a "Sweet and Tender Hooligan" to me who oozed of bear hugs, laughter, humor, and most of all, who could tell me about your personal Morrissey encounter over and over again as if it was the BEST Christmas present a boy could ever ask for.  You are loved and missed by many and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Ernie you have been an important part of me and Juan's life for the last 15 years. You introduced us, were Juans best man and were our first borns nino. Through out all the years we have been friends my love for you has constantly grown. We spent so much time together,yet we always had something to talk about and never got tired of each other. I remember meetin Ernie in junior high P.E. class. We would run our lap around the schoolyard together and talk about our favorite music. When he told me he was a drummer, I really wanted to start a rock band.At home I practiced singing to Danzig. I would tell everyone that Ernie's my drummer and we're lookin for a guitarist and bassist. Finally in tenth grade we met Gabe and Oli  and started our first band. We didn't know what we wanted sound like. Band practice was a new experience for us. We worked out some covers and Gabes songs then finally played our first show.I will always remember  the moral support Ernie gave me when I was nervious before a show. I will always remember the faith we had in each other.                                   Even after we stopped playing music together, I still loved to hang out with Ernie. He is so funny and entertaining.                           Even when we havent spoke for a while,I could run into him  anywhere and Ernie will give me a big hug and its always a happy moment.                                 you brought joy to my life. I will miss you Ernie.

My dear Ernie. Thank you for how you enriched my life over the past 20 years.  You played such an important role...helping to mold me, being my first foodie companion (Chariot's!), always making me feel beautiful, giving me strength when I couldn't find it inside myself, sharing countless hours watching import films and (of course!)Seinfeld, teaching me how to Rock N Roll. More than everything else though, you brought true joy to my life. You are one of the best friends anyone could ever hope to have. Neto, I will always remember all the laughs we shared together. You were a little brother to me. I love you and miss so much.

I'll always remember you as the cutest little kid in the world who played Elvis with bravado on his toy guitar at Washington Camp and who grew up into a handsome man who was faithful to those dreams and music 100%.  I also remember our long talks about life and family and sharing our deep dark secrets, and how I was always amazed at your humility and how you never seemed to see yourself as others saw you.  I hope you can see that now.  You are deeply loved and cherished.  Thank you for being a part of my life Ernie.  By the way, every time I relish a runny egg yolk, I'll think of you. There are no words that can change the sadness in all of our hearts at this time, however, Ernie was loved. He is watching us and probably laughing at us.
