Frances Joan Norick (Jett) Our beautiful, sweet, loving mother and grandmother passed away August 25, 2011 in Tucson, Arizona. She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 60 years, Bill and her son, Bill. Frances was born January 7, 1925 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert and Desilee Jett. She was raised in Bisbee, Arizona and graduated from Bisbee High in 1942. It is in Bisbee where she met the love of her life, Bill Norick. They were married in December of 1950 in Bisbee, a place she always carried dear to her heart. The couple then moved to Peoria, Illinois where Bill worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company, they raised their two children, and made many lifelong friendships. After Bill's retirement in 1986, they relocated to Tucson where they enjoyed a happy retirement of golfing, traveling and spending time with friends. As far as they were concerned, their biggest blessings came in 1990 and 1992 with the birth of their grandsons, Brendan and Phillip Coogan, both of whom they loved so very much. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 2009 and her son, Bill in 1991. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Bob and John Jett and her sisters, Desilee Harris and Margaret Salisbury. Frances was lucky to be loved by many people. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mildred Jett of Tucson and Mickey Jett of Marina, CA. She is also survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Russ and Bobbie Moyle of Grass Valley, CA and many caring and loving nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Joanna; her son-in-law, Dan Coogan, whom she considered her son and her two grandsons whom she adored, Brendan and Phillip Coogan. Our family would like to especially thank our close friends and family who helped us these past two years, especially The Donahue Family and Edy Lloyd. We would also like to thank the entire staff of the Cascades who cared for and made our mother feel comfortable, safe and loved over these last hard years. We all feel so very lucky to have had her as our mother, grandmother and friend. We will miss her very much. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously suggests donations to the Gospel Rescue Mission, 707 W. Miracle Mile, Tucson, AZ 85705 which helps the hungry and homeless.
