Losing my own Father and Mother has never left my life. Every time I visit Grand Rapids, I make a special effort to visit their grave, and I do still shed tears.  And you will too, Jake!

Dad, I thank you for accepting me into the folds of the family when I married your son, Mike, and included my mother into the "gang" as well!!!  We'll never forget all the wonderful service stories you loved to tell.  I'm so glad we got to indulge you in your favorite meal at Cracker Barrel one last time.  Disneyland and Vegas will miss one of their favorite patrons!! You will be greatly missed, but oh the stories we can tell.....!

LIFE...is changed, not taken away!!!

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet this wonderful man. What a legacy he leaves, and what a joy for life it looks like he had! The photos tell a lot about his rich life. My heart goes out to my brother-in-law Jeff and all the Knauss family at this time of sorrow.

Jeff, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of your Dad.  At your 50th party here in Raleigh, we ended up as partners shooting pool and we were beaten badly.Your Dad was gracious, kind and funny the whole time were were shooting.  We are so sorry for the loss of your Dad.  We didn't know him well, but we do know that he and your Mom raised a good man in you.  All our love, Kak, Thornton, Luke and Morgen.

Our dad, our rock, our traveling buddy, will be missed beyond words.  Disney has lost one of their original cast members.  He lived a full amazing life.
