

Gary Dale Dull II, age 60, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Tucson, AZ due major internal damage after a motor vehicle accident on Monday, February 22. Gary was born on January 16, 1956 in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduating from Mesa High School, he pursued his passion for police work by serving in the United States Army as a military police officer from 1975 to 1978 in Butzbach, Germany. He was an officer for the Lake Havasu City police department for 23 years. For several years, he served as the president of the Police Officer’s Association. A good friend, Clint Campbell, reflected, “His bravery and advanced skill-set brought the successful resolution to countless critical incidents, and saved the lives of several victims of crime.” After he retired from the LHCPD, he held positions as a police officer for the Meskwaki Nation Police Department, the chief of police in Woodbine, IA, and finally as a code compliance specialist in Oro Valley, AZ. In his spare time he enjoyed having coffee on Sunday mornings with his dad, pulling pranks, hiking with his wife, and watching old westerns. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Madelyn Dull of Chandler, AZ and Beverly and Jerry Woodward of Kansas City, KS; his wife, Rayne Dull of Tucson, AZ; his children, JoAnne (Kyle) Laudenslager of Sandy, UT, Levi Dull of Cedar Falls, IA, and Elyssa Dull of Tempe, AZ; his grandchildren Drew Schultz of Glidden, IA, Dustin Schimmel of Sandy, UT, Jade Trenary of Rockwell City, IA, and Abigail Cressy-Dull of Yankton, SD; his sisters, Tresa Matthews of Kansas City, KS, Lisa Matthews of Holt, MO, Susan (Larry) Scott, Brenda Dull and Shelly Dull of Chandler, AZ, and Sandy (Chris) Simmons of Mesa, AZ; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Gary will be deeply missed
