Gingerlee Marie Rothpletz

Gingerlee Marie Rothpletz, age 59, resident of Tucson, AZ, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday September 30th, 2023. Ginger was born in Boston, MA on April 1st, 1964 to late parents Ty and Nancy Raymond. Ginger grew up in the San Simon area, where she met and married the love of her life, Andrew. Ginger had a passion for animals, especially dogs and horses, and spent most of her career working in veterinary medicine. Ginger’s true love is her family, starting with her husband Andrew Rothpletz. They married May 23, 1981 and proceeded to have 3 children, Mark, Johnathan and Philena. She was a devoted and doting grandmother to her four grand babies. Ginger was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She will be remembered for her artistic ability and her kindness to others. Her sweet nature made all feel welcome from stray dogs to the friends and spouses of her children that she welcomed into her family. She was always willing to listen when a friend was in need and would give everything she could to others. She enjoyed crafting and making beautiful jewelry, paintings and wood crafts for others. She had an affinity for tree frogs and sloths; these became her signature creatures.

Ginger loved the outdoors and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed camping in the Chiricahua Mountains of Eastern AZ. When spending time closer to home, she loved baking, crafting, and cooking for her family. In her youth, Ginger enjoyed barrel racing, horse back riding and collecting items from the desert.

Ginger is survived by her husband, Andrew Rothpletz of Tucson, AZ, her three children, Mark (Alissa) Rothpletz, Johnathan (Sarah) Rothpletz, and Philena (Peter) Gordon, her grandchildren, Nathaniel Rothpletz, Pierce Gordon, Paige Gordon, and Trevor Rothpletz and by her brothers, sisters and other extended family.

A Celebration of life will take place Sunday November 26th, 2023 from 12-4pm at 10824 N Ridgewind Court, Oro Valley, AZ
