Gloria Capanna

She was born on April 16,1927 in Aguilar, (Brodhead) Colorado the daughter of Joseph and Antonette Trujillo. She also had a younger brother named Joseph Jr.

Gloria moved to Pueblo, Colorado and was married in 1949 to Anthony Capanna Jr. They had three children Rocco (Rebecca), Marty (Renee), and Carl (Jill). Most of her life she was a homemaker and dedicated her time and focused on raising the three boys. She was a loving and caring mother that made sure the kids always had what they needed. She always sacrificed for the welfare of her children, especially when times were hard. She cherished her children, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Gloria was married for 25 years and then she worked at Levys, Goldwaters and Dilliards in the El Con Mall, as a retail sales clerk. Her ability to speak fluent Spanish helped her to have a loyal clientele of repeat customers.

Gloria was a devoted Catholic and attended services at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

For the past 8 years she lived at Haven of Saguaro Valley Nursing Home. She was well taken care of and actively participated in all the activities.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 6, at 1 pm, at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery, 5801 E Grant RD, Tucson, AZ 85712. Phone 520-885-6741. Memorial reception immediately following onsite at the Reception Room.
