Gordon Mathew Nichols Jr.

We lost Matt to COVID-19. He was quick with a quip, but always followed with a helping hand. He loved music and his family. He is survived by his siblings: Carrie, Doug, Charlie, and Heidi. He is also survived by his partner, friend, companion, and soulmate, Diana.

Matt left behind many people who loved him. He was a friend to all. He was a graduate of Rincon High School and the University of Arizona. He was an avid sports fan and a diehard Wildcat. He enjoyed fishing with his family and was capable of telling a fish story or two. He was a fantasy baseball fanatic and spent time leading his Donner Pass team to victory. He also loved playing poker with his friends, even if his aces didn't always hold up.

He was a guitar-playing, karaoke-singing, golfer. Above all, he was a great friend and the world is a little less bright, without him. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Matt's funeral service is Friday October 22nd at 5801 E Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712.
