Guadalupe Bermudez Lomeli, 93, joined our Lord on February 6, 2021. She was born November 23, 1927, in San Miguelito, Sonora Mexico to Antonio and Angelita Bermudez, and was the older sister of Manuel Bermudez, who preceded her in death.
A devoted wife of 50 years, Lupe is now reunited with her beloved husband Presiliano “Chalano” Lomeli (1928-2003). She will always be remembered as a loving mother to daughter Amanda Isela Smith (1953-2013) and sons Mario and Antonio Lomeli, and most cherished grandmother to Leasa Isela and Sam Cutwright Jr. She will also be remembered by the many family and friends she welcomed into her home and heart over the years.
Lupe enjoyed going on trips, especially to the beach, tending to her garden, and keeping up with her nightly telenovelas. She took great pride in her Mexican heritage and delicious cooking, but most of all in her family, whom she devoted her life to and stayed strong for until the very end. Guided by unwavering catholic faith, Lupe began and ended each day in prayer. And, despite loss and illness, she managed to live every day with a smile that touched us all. She will be dearly missed. Te vamos a extrañar mucho, descansa en paz.
