Harriet Carol Connor

Harriet Carol Connor, age 82, passed away peacefully with close family by her side on July 31, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Connor, her sister Betty Henning, and her niece Elizabeth Minchew. She was a beloved aunt to her surviving nephews: Martin Churchfield (Jennifer Churchfield), Kelly Churchfield (Abby Epstein), and niece, Catherine Pensak (Dave Sirota) and step daughter Kathlene Jacobsen; and her Grand nieces and nephews: Hana Damore (Morris), Sara Damore, Sam Damore, Max Churchfield, Ali Bowling (Thatcher), Brynn Churchfield, Noah Pensak, Jason and Cami Churchfield; she was a dear friend to many.

Harriet was born on May 25th, 1942, in Yuma Arizona, to the late Merle and Harry Bickers. She was raised in Yuma and spent her formative years in 4-H activities and studying music. She went on to study fine arts and continued with her music endeavors at Northern Arizona University. She enjoyed painting, calligraphy, drawing and became an accomplished musician, mastering the piano, organ, and was a successful vocalist.

She shared her musical talents with her church, was active in the choir, and was an organ accompanist. Harriet finished her professional years with the Tempe School District and retired as a School Bus Driver.

Harriet was a woman of faith, had a gentle spirit, and led with kindness always providing for those in need. Harriet will be deeply missed by all those who knew her and were fortunate to be touched by her big heart.
