He was born on 9/8/1934 to Marion and Lovetta Adkins in Tucson, AZ. He was survived by adult children Tammy Adkins, Katy Adkins, Annette (Scott) Ladd and Jerry Hoffman; 4 siblings Ray (Sharon) Adkins, Marilyn (Frank) Cresci, John Adkins and Helen Adkins; Many nieces and nephews.
He lived in Tucson, AZ all his life. He graduated from Tucson High. He worked with his dad at Adkins Steel Mfg until he took over the Business with his deceased brother, Don, then became sole proprietor and retired in 2006. He loved going hunting and fishing with family and friends. He once won a deer hunting contest. He always called his daughters (everyday, sometimes twice) to see what they were doing and if they were ok and to let us know he was ok. He loved going to dinner with family and friends on a regular basis. He also liked making his friends and family laugh. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Masons, Shriners and many other organizations. He was well known and loved by many. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We can take comfort knowing he is in a better place and whole again with family and friends that went before him.
