Todos tenían una conexión personal con Hermelinda, que no se parecía a ninguna otra. Ella fue un puente hacia el pasado de nuestra familia, una guardiana de las tradiciones y una narradora extraordinaria. Su cocina era un lugar mágico donde el aroma de las enchiladas recién hechas con aroma a amor y nostalgia estaba en el menú.

Pero también tuvo una vida increíble, sobrevivió trabajando como partera, hermana, esposa, madre, tía, abuela, bisabuela y tatarabuela. Trabajó duro para proporcionar lo que su familia necesitaba. Hermelinda encarnaba la actitud de simplemente "seguir adelante", y esa fuerza y determinación eran evidentes en cada aspecto de su vida.

Sus historias, canciones y risas siempre estarán grabadas en nuestros corazones. Extrañaremos mucho a Hermelinda.

Hermelinda was a loved member of our family and a true pillar for all. She was a guiding light, our source of unconditional love and the heart of our family.

Everyone had a personal connection with Hermelinda, that was like no other. She was a bridge to our family’s past, a keeper of traditions, and storyteller extraordinaire. Her kitchen was a magical place where the aroma of freshly made enchiladas with the scent of love and nostalgia was on the menu.

But she also had an amazing life, from surviving working as a midwife, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She worked hard to provide what her family needed. Hermelinda embodied the attitude of just ‘getting on with it’, and that strength and determination was evident in every aspect of her life.

Her stories, songs and laughter will always be engraved in our hearts. Hermelinda will be dearly missed.
