Jacklyn “Jackie” Fahey passed away peacefully in her home in Tucson, AZ, on November 26, 2025. She was born in Kansas City, MO on August 25, 1944 to William L. and May Dean Fahey. A long-time Tucsonan, she graduated from Catalina High School and attended The University of Arizona. Originally trained as a dental hygienist, she found her career as a valued support staff member in the Physics Department at The University of Arizona.
After her retirement, Jackie volunteered with cancer patients, participated in Relay for Life, and made many dear friends in the Epsilon Sigma Alpha service organization and the Red Hat social group.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and her cherished pets, Karen and Terra. She is survived by her sister Ruth Ann Wein, niece Deborah Shouse and sons Nate and Zach, nephew Matthew Seymour and daughter Caitlyn, and cousin David Kuster.
A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 S. Park Avenue, Tucson. Feel free to wear purple (Jackie’s favorite color).
