Janice was a devoted mother and Nana. Her famous saying was “I am truly blessed” and we were truly blessed by her strong faith and love.
Our mother was a kind, caring and a giving woman with a deep faith in God who always put the needs of others before herself. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Born in Florala, Alabama on March 26, 1935, she graduated from High School in Pensacola, Florida where she later met and married our father James E. Kimberl (deceased) at East Hill Baptist Church. Prior to coming to Arizona, they lived in Anchorage, Alaska. Moving to Tucson, Arizona in 1967 the family joined 22nd Street Baptist Church where she was very active with the nursery, Women on Missions, Worship Choir, Vacation Bible School, Decorating the Church with flowers, Church Outreach as well as the Prayer Chain. She retired at the age of 65 from Tucson College of Business, Finance. Mom enjoyed visiting family and friends, walking and working in her yard.
Mom/Nana, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
In memory of Janice you may donate in her honor to 22nd Street Baptist Church “Women on Missions”.
