Jean Ball, 90, of Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully on April 26, 2023. Jean, whose maiden name was Parry, was born in Everton, England on July 9th, 1932. She met and married the love of her life, Arlie, while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Burtonwood AFB and then RAF Sealand in North Wales near the English border. A year later, they returned to the U.S. when Arlie was assigned to Biggs AFB in El Paso, Texas. They went on to have three children while stationed there.
Over the years they lived in France where they had their fourth child, Stephen. The family also lived in Germany and England where they made many lifelong friends. Jean and Arlie were avid darts players and joined a local darts team where Jean won several games. She spent her happiest days living in England. Eventually they returned to the U.S where Arlie was stationed at Davis Monthan AFB. Arlie later retired from the military and became a Farmers Agent. During this time they had several trips back to England to see family and friends. Tragically they lost their son, Tom, in a car accident in 1977. Jean spent many years working with Arlie in the agency until he passed away in 1990 after a long illness. After Arlie’s passing she had many trips back to England to visit family and friends. In 2020 she tragically lost her son Stephen after a brief illness.
Though she suffered immeasurable loss, she was also blessed with a full and wonderful life. Jean is survived by her daughters Sandra and Linda, grandsons, Tom (Michelle), Adam (Yogi) and Dylan. Sister, Sylvia, nieces Ann and Tracy (David), nephews, David and Ben (Estrella) and many more great nieces and nephews. She is reunited with parents Thomas and Rose Parry, her beloved Arlie, sons Tom and Stephen, son-in-law Brad, sisters Lily, Gladys, Gwen (Ron) and Doreen, beloved niece Debbie and many more relatives and friends.
