

age 91 of Tucson passed away May 8, 2014. She was the daughter of Truman & Lillie (Levin) Barclay, born in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Jean is survived by her husband of 70 years, Wilbert, sons Norman of Tucson, Marshall (Bonnie) of NJ and Jimmy (Laura) of HI, grandchildren Katherine (Rob) Copanic of MD, Adam (Deniz) of CA and 2 great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Ada Copanic of MD. Private family burial. No flowers please but contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Jean was born September 30, 1922 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Truman and Lillie (Levin) Barclay. She met Wil in 1940- he took her to the Wayne King dance concert in the Soo. They married in 1943 when Wil was on leave from the Army-Air Force.
They moved the family to Tucson, AZ in 1954. After retiring in 1978, they spent their summers at their cabin near Salt Point on Lake Superior. They always drove, camping along the way between Tucson and Michigan.
Jean was a wonderful mother and wife- always happy, fun loving, positive thinking and caring. She played piano and sang in the church choir. She was a wonderful baker and prolific seamstress. Jean even designed and made suits and draperies. She loved camping, picnicking, playing games and picking wild blueberries.
