Born in Sabina, Ohio, Jean came to Tucson in the 1940’s where she graduated from the University of Arizona, married and raised her family.
Her dedication to the community was her life motto, as evidenced by her 40+ years of service with the Salvation Army, where she devoted her time to feeding the homeless and calling on the elderly. Jean was an accomplished poet and had a passion for protecting the environment. She was the epitome of kindness and always made everyone she encountered feel valued. A special thank you for the loving care and devotion given by her caregivers and friends at Casas Adobes Assisted Living.
Mom, you were truly the salt of the earth and will be missed terribly by our family. You have beyond earned your crown and wings, and we all know you have family and friends above who have long awaited your amazing soul with open arms. It is with a broken heart that we must say good-by to our Beautiful Angel, Grandma Jean. Love you forever and always! “Bless your little doll heart”.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be mailed to: The Salvation Army, 1001 N. Richey Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716; (520) 795-4504
