

SFC Jonathan Gordon, age 57, passed away of natural causes, on Friday, May 16, 2025. Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents Jason and Cora Gordon. Jonathan is survived his wife of 25 years Jacquelyn M. Gordon; by his three children, Anthony M. Tanner, Joseph M. Gordon, and Cora B. Gordon; by his two siblings Vincent Gordon (Bossier City, LA) and Sophia Gordon (Athens, GA); by his mother in law Jocelyn Tanner Arreola (Tucson, AZ); by his adopted siblings Chance and Daryl Dumas (Phoenix), Clara and Chris Beattie (Tucson); by his several uncles, aunts, and cousins across the United States. Jonathan retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years, 11 months at Ft. Huachuca 2013 as an Army Intelligence Analyst. He enjoyed watching classic TV shows like Walker Texas Rangers, In the Heat of the Night, and Military Documentaries. He liked reading Tom Clancy novels, collecting comics, local truck driving, and being with his family in Tucson. He loved to cook and eat seafood boils, catfish, shrimp and pot stickers. Jonathan will be greatly missed and remembered forever.
A visitation for Jonathan will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A rosary will occur Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A visitation will occur Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A graveside service will occur Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
