Jose Gregory Martinez

Joe passed away at the age of 79 on June 10th, 2025. Joe will forever lovingly be remembered.

Preceded in death by Mother Susana Montoya (Robert Montoya) and Father Modesto Martinez.

Survived by his Son, Arthur Martinez ( Lisa Martinez), Adrian Martinez, Daughter, Tonya Martinez (Mario Escalante), Joanne Martinez, and Tiffany Martine; Brothers, Alfred Mantoya, and Arnold Mantoya;

Sisters: Isabel Canez and Ramona Lucero.

Grandchildren are Stephanie Escalante, Corina Escalante, Sam Martinez, Brennan Gonzales, Nesa Martinez, Cynthia Martinez, AJ Martinez, Kayla Martinez, Rashad Martinez, Michael Peth, Timothy Peth, Scarlett Peth, Dalila Peth, and Sheldon Peth. His great-grandchildren are Eric Ybarra, Dominic Ybarra, Aiden Ybarra, Dominic Martinez, Xaryah Martinez, Jordan Martinez, Aubrey Martinez, Jeremiah Gonzales, Adelina Gonzales, Penelope Martinez, and Natalie Iscar.

Many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends whom he also loved like family, he cherished everyone with respect and love.

Our dad was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Known for his ability to connect with anyone, sharing his big smile and stories that would bring life to his world. His laughter and kind spirit touched all the lives of those who crossed his path. A man of many hobbies and passions, such as spending time with friends and family, camping, being outdoors, going to church, bike riding, mechanics, construction, building, and making his own creations. Teaching us all how to work hard, be kind and loving, be creative, be adventurous, and be a helping hand to anyone in need.

A service will be held at Santa Rosa Church, 2015 North Calle Central, Tucson, AZ 85705, on June 18, 2025, starting at 4 p.m., Rosary at 5 pm, Mass at 6 pm, dinner to follow.

Dad, you are at peace now with Nana. You will forever remain in our hearts. Your legacy of love, hard work, compassion, and courage will live on in our hearts and through your creations, as well as in the hearts of those who had the honor to know and love you. We love you, Dad.

A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Mission Santa Rosa de Lima, 2015 N Calle Central, Tucson, AZ 85705.
