Jose Ramon Mendoza, age 88, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1936, in Ejido El Claro, Sonora, Mexico. Jose held a career in Roofing, dedicating several years while working for Custom Roofing and then continuing in the industry while self-employed. He was a Roofer well into his mid 70's. Always dedicating time to fix things and lending a hand whenever needed. Amongst his passions, which included spending time with his family and enjoying laughter, sharing jokes, drinking a cold beer with his buddies and being surrounded by people he loved, hard work was also one of his most valued. Jose is preceded in death by (Emma Mendoza Mendivil), Gabriela Mendoza-Storm (daughter), Jose Mendoza (father), Elvira Delgado de Mendoza (mother), Arnoldo Mendoza (brother), Javier Mendoza (brother), Blanca Mendoza Martinez (sister). He is survived by children Zonia Mendoza Kelley and Hector Ramon Mendoza, grandchildren Stephanie R. Kelley-Toliver, Yesenia Storm, Alexis B. Kelley, James J. Storm, and sisters Emma Mendoza Ruiz and Hermelinda Mendoza.
