Tata Lolo is survived by his daughters, Jessie Felix (Armando), Cruz Turner (Rok), and Rose Gaston (Charlie); Son, Manuel Santos Padilla; sister in-law Elena Martinez (Antonio †) and Dolores Zatarain (Jose); 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Tata Lolo was by all measures a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, godfather and uncle. He was a Godly man that exemplified how to share God’s Love with his kindness, calmness, patience and compassionate demeanor in his everyday life. He never met a stranger that he did not like and would befriend anyone if given the opportunity. Tata’s passion for Family, Life, and God knew no boundaries. When Tata spoke you would hear one of his great sayings that would make you either laugh or feel his love. Despite the hardship of being raised by a widowed Mother during the great depression era, his faith in God was unwavering. Tata always told us that he felt like the richest man on earth, his riches were not of this earth, but heavenly because of his faith and trust in God. Tata Lolo you were an example of how to live without judgment of others, you always thought of giving instead of receiving without seeking reward. We thank you for all the doting you showered Mom with, we can never repay you for all the love, care, compassion or sacrifices you made to improve our lives, so we will do our best to pay it forward in your honor. We all believe the manner in which you lived your life has pleased God.
Until we meet again, Love you Dad, Tata Lolo, Tio Lolo, and Nino,
