

Born on February 10, 1950, Juan lived a life marked by his integrity and camaraderie. He was known for, generosity, strong work ethic, and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his life partner Clara Ochoa, and Mother to his children Mary Valenzuela. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a proud father and survived by his son Daniel (Michelle), and daughters Veronica and Melissa (Alonzo). A beloved Grandfather to Alexis, Briana, Alexis C., Joshua, Roman, Jasmin, Marleen and Jacob. A doting great grandfather to Sebastien. A cherished uncle to many. A dear brother to Adelina, Aurora (deceased) Roy, Abel. Albert, Carlos and Ricky Sr. (deceased). His family was his greatest joy.
Juan proudly served his country in the U.S army during the Vietnam War. Juan retired as a dedicated and passionate employee of the State of Arizona where he served as a Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program Specialist, helping fellow veterans find meaningfully employment and support. Outside of work, he enjoyed, spending time with his family and friends, drawing and painting, fishing, spending time on his boat, hunting, camping and working on projects on his property. Those who knew him will remember his generosity and love of family.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday September 15, 2025 at South Lawn Mortuary. Friends and family are welcome to gather in remembrance of his remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Disabled Veterans' National Foundation in his honor.
Juan will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
