

Judy Ann Howell was born in Waldo, Arkansas on June 27, 1951, to the late Ruby Lee Howell and George Howell. Judy enjoyed fishing; family get togethers, especially dominoes on the card tables; shopping for fashionable items and gardening. Judy worked as a teacher’s aide in the 1980s and then shifted gears to work in the healthcare industry for ten years until she found a place called the Ponderosa in 1988 to 1997, where she worked in the bartending industry and retired at the age of 54.
Judy Ann Benson was an outspoken, loving, one may say one of a kind woman. Even through obstacles she lived a life full of Love, Joy, Fun and Selflessness. Tucson, Az was home, where she graciously helped care for her mother, grandchildren, nieces/nephews for years. Judy spent the last years of her life living in Los Angeles where she got the opportunity to rekindle the fire and chase love, companionship, and happiness with her high school sweetheart Al. She will be greatly missed from her cooking and heart warming laugh to her colorful language and genuine, unique personality.
Judy Ann Benson passed away on March 24, 2022 Peacefully in the comfort of her home with a smile on her face and shopping on her mind in Los Angeles, California.
Judy is preceded in death by her mother Ruby Lee Howell, her father George Howell, Sr, her sister Georgia Howell and her brothers Floyd Howell and George Howell, Jr.
Judy leaves behind to cherish the loving and fond memories, her spouse Alfonso; her daughter Samantha; her sons Carlos and Kenny, her grandchildren Tyshana, Kaniaya, Victor III, Roel and Geordell and 1 great-granddaughter. Her brothers Herbert (Florence), Hermon (Rosie), Robert, Levell; her sisters Betty and Dorothy (Sam) and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
