

Kevin Patrick Doran, born June 22, 1957, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 29, 2025. Kevin was the firstborn child of Lawrence and Suzanne Doran followed by sister Kim, sister Sandy and brother Michael. The family grew up together in Oxnard, California then Hastings, Minnesota and finally in Ventura, California.
As a young Airman in the Air Force, he was stationed overseas where he fell in love with a beautiful woman, Yong, who later became his wife of 44 years. While he was a loving and devoted husband, he also became a father of two boys, who survived him, Michael and Jeffrey. He was a very supportive father, raising them along their individual paths while providing a safe and protected home.
During his 27 dedicated years in the United States Air Force, he achieved the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was Munitions Systems Specialist, or Ammo Trooper for short, serving diligently under those who taught him to be a great leader to future young Airman who served under his supervision. His most admired qualities, highlighted by his peers, were his great leadership, attention to detail, fairness, dependability, and his dedication to those who served with him to ensure everyone had a successful career in the military. His level of encouragement and warmth is what led him to have a very close-knit community of friends, most of which came from the relationships he forged as an Ammo Trooper.
A visitation for Kevin will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. A graveside service will occur Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
