Larry Edward Landreth passed away unexpectedly at home on July 9, 2025. He was born to Marvin and Margaret (Lyday) Landreth on April 2, 1945.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; sons, Larry Landreth Jr., Dennis Machen, and Bob Machen; daughter, Robin Shay Kerby; and grandchildren, Michael Landreth, Leise Landreth, Brittnye Kerby, Christopher Machen, Theo Renney, Kevin Machen, Derek Machen, Bobbie Landreth, Justin Machen, and Peyton Kerby.
Larry spent over 50 years dedicated to his career as a butcher in many Tucson grocery stores and enjoyed interacting with customers and fellow employees so much that he didn’t retire until January 2024. He loved his family and friends. He had a tireless work ethic and was rarely happier than when he was in his shop, building, fixing, and tinkering—always with pride and purpose. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
