

LaVerne J. Lein Also known as "Vern", entered into rest October 27, 2013 in Tucson, AZ. He was born on September 5, 1920, in Albion Prairie, WI, near Madison. Vern moved to Tucson in 1948 with his wife, Joan and daughter, Joyce. He enjoyed hunting, camping and traveling, especially in AZ and Mexico. He enjoyed Country music all his life and was a lifetime member of Arizona old times fiddlers Association. He is survived by one sister, Betty (Bill) Perkins; a daughter, Joyce (John) Becker and four grandsons, Timothy (Kelly Ann), Rodney (Dawn), Zachary (Dawn) and Dylan as well as 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Myrtle Lein; son, Richard (Lainie) Lein; a brother, Robert (Juanita) and two infant brothers. His precious friend, Reta Vagades and her three sons, John, Tom (Florinda), Robert (Karen) and two daughters, Tammy (Chuck) and Beverly (George) have been an important part of his life for over 25 years. His life was blessed with many other friends and neighbors also. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL SOUTH LAWN with graveside to follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Viewing will be at 12:00 p.m. on the same day. Rev. Steve Springer of Dove of Peace Lutheran Church will officiate.
