Loyd Victor Bell III, age 81, of Oro Valley, Arizona passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Loyd was born on March, 30, 1943, in Washington, District of Columbia. He graduated from Lawrenceville High School and received his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from East Tennessee State University. Loyd had a career as the Director of Admissions for the University of Arizona. He had a passion for hiking, photography, and scuba diving.
He is preceded in death by his father Loyd V. Bell Jr and by his mother Edith Rathbun Bell. He is survived by his sons Chas Bell (Kaya) and Darius Bell (Danielle); by his sister Carolyn Amos (Bill); by his sister Lea Gibson (Ron); by his brother Rick Bell (Debbie); by his 6 grandchildren and his 7 great grandchildren; and his special caregiver Mayra Martinez.
Loyd will be greatly missed and remembered forever.
