

Luis Fierro Guajardo, 58, of Green Valley, AZ passed on Friday, January 18th, 2019 in Tucson, AZ. He was born to Juan Robles Guajardo and Cruz Mendoza Fierro on July 27th, 1960 in Artesia, NM. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Ybarra Guajardo and children; Randy and wife Martha Galvan, Robby Galvan and Jessica Barnes, and Luis Miguel Guajardo. His grandchildren; Lyzette Galvan, Sami Blanco, Richard Galvan, and Randy Galvan, Jr. His siblings; Frances Arrendondo, John and wife Mary Guajardo, Manuel and wife Lucy Guajardo, Amelia and husband Roy Lawson, Rosa Guajardo, Maria and husband Phillip Lawson, Julian Guajardo, and Margaret Guajardo. He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Cruz Guajardo, siblings; Rita Castillo and Hortensia Guajardo, son Richard Galvan, and Domingo and Juanita Ybarra.
In 1986, Luis moved to Carlsbad, NM to be with the love of his life Sylvia Ybarra Guajardo. They married in June 29th, 1987. Soon after they moved their family to Tucson, AZ in 1988. There he started working for Cyprus Sierrita, now known as Freeport-McMoran, and then retired in 2016. He returned to work for Asarco Mine in 2017. In his free time Luis loved to sing and play his instruments; the guitars both bass and acoustic, drums, and the keyboard. His love of music came from performing with his Dad with the San Francisco Choir and Cursillitas of the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Another thing he favored was his sports, his teams being the New York Giants and New York Yankees. Besides his hobbies, Luis was always ready to lend a helping hand to both friends and family. His main priority though was taking care of his family. His kind heart and sense of humor is already missed by many.
