Passed away on February 11, 2016 after a long and valiant battle with Parkinson's disease. Lyle was born on March 4, 1932 in Maddock, North Dakota. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by Verola, his wife of 62 years; children, Noelle (Daniel) Davies, Thomas (Suzanne) Halvorson, Nancie (Steven) Gamble; granddaughters, Jenna Gamble, Shirlee Alcock and his brother, Gale (Shelene) Halvorson. Lyle served in the military during the Korean conflict. He was proud of his 50 year career in the insurance business and how he was able to help people and create so many long lasting relationships. Since moving his family to Tucson in 1967 he was an active member in his church, New Spirit Lutheran, as well as Elks Lodge, American Legion and National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors. Graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 21st at 1:30 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E. Grant Road. A Memorial Service and reception will follow at 2:30 at New Spirit Lutheran Church, 8701 E Old Spanish Trail. Memorial gifts can be made to New Spirit Lutheran Church.
