
Born 7/22/1929, Marian L. Miller, age 82, died 11/28/11. She was born in Bairoil, Wyoming to her parents Lydia and James Shaughnessy, and adopted by her aunt & uncle, Esther and Henry Miller. She lived in Sinclair (Parco), Wyoming from age 6 until 18, when she attended the University of Wyoming and earned a degree in teaching. She moved to Rawlins, Wyoming to teach, and then married W. Richard Miller in 1951. She had three children Ronald L. Miller (Dixie), Denise C. O’Grady, and Julie A. Miller (Carol). Marian and Richard owned the Miller Redi-Mix, Rawlins Floral and Gift Shop and the Horizon Stationary and Gift Shop in Rawlins, before moving to Sierra Vista, Arizona in 1980. In 1986 she moved with her husband to Tucson, and worked at the University of Arizona for many years, retiring in 1994. Her husband preceded her in death in 1993. A memorial service will be held on 12/15/11 at 3:00 PM followed by reception at Villa Hermosa Assisted Living, 6300 E. Speedway, in Tucson.
