

Marion Jean Lamb, 86, born June 16, 1927 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, died April 12, 2014. Survived by daughter Gail (Bob) Vielledent, son Steve (Kathy) Lamb, daughters Karen (Bill) Osteen, Laura (David) Swingler, Linda (Dan) Chabot, and Kathy (Mark) Mistler. Grandchildren Michelle Vielledent, Shannon Howard, Marc Vielledent, Aimee Vielledent, Chris Lamb, Lindsay Lamb, Kim Osteen-Petreshock, Scott Osteen, Jeff Osteen, Melissa Lacey, Jennifer Wiggins, Kate Johnson, Julia Swingler, Brandy Ritter, Steve Chabot, Angela Chabot, Brian Mistler, Kevin Mistler, Kyle Mistler, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by the love of her life for 44 years, her husband Gil Lamb, sister Helen Vandergrift, and brother Harry Miller. Marion and Gil were married in 1949 in Roseville, Michigan. They moved their family to Tucson in 1958, where Gil became one of Southern Arizona’s premier custom home builders from the late 70s through early 90s. Marion had a loving and gentle spirit, and always found happiness in everything she did. Along with her husband, she was totally devoted to her 6 children, who will all adore her forever. She also enjoyed volunteering her service at Merilac Lodge, the Newman Center Sustaining Board, and Tucson Medical Center. She is now at peace with our Lord. Visitation will be at East Lawn Palms Mortuary on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 5:30pm with Rosary at 6:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, with Msgr. Thomas Cahalane officiating, on Monday, April 21st, at 10:00am. Graveside service will follow at East Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Marion’s children would like to especially thank Marilou Searles of Searles Care Home, who along with her devoted staff; took excellent care of our dear mother.
