

Mary Lou Schwab, 77, Tucson, Arizona, Died Sunday, April 20, 2014. Mary Lou was born September 19, 1936 in Nogales, AZ. She was born into a mining family, living in Bisbee, AZ as a young girl. During World War II she lived in California while her father served in the Navy. She returned to Arizona to live in Tiger, Arizona. Mary Lou completed her education in Mammoth & Florence. She married Wes Feagan and lived in San Manuel and Tucson. The marriage ended in 1960. She continued to live in Tucson and worked as a cashier for Lucky’s Grocery chain. In 1966 she moved to Oracle and worked as a cashier for Gordon’s’ Merchantile. In 1973 she met Steve Schwab. They married on March 2, 1974.
In 1975 they moved to California Central Coast and lived in Atscadero, California for 22 years. While there she owned and operated her own Beauty Salon and retail shop in Paso Robles & Atscadero, CA. In 1997 she became a fulltime homemaker and followed her husband Steve in returning to Tucson. Mary Lou was a member of the Tucson Gem & Mineral Society and always looked forward to attending mineral shows in California and Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sue and Archie Griffith, her brother, Jim Griffith, and her son, James Schwab. Survivors include, her husband of 40 years Steve Schwab of Tucson; daughters, Jacqueline McKenney (Ed) of Tyler, TX and Kathryn Whitlock (Mike, deceased) of Marana; sons, Archie Feagan (Gerrie), Youbou, BC and Oscar Schwab (Jenifer) San Luis Obispo, CA; nieces, Kelly, Dawn, Laura Griffith; nephew Jim Griffith and 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren .
Memorial service will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS Chapel on May 2nd at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may remember T.G.M.S. and Casa De Los Ninos.
