He was my singing partner. We played lots of music together. I played a song on YouTube tonight, my wife dug and found this site. 

To anyone who still gets this update, I am organizing a small, unofficial gathering at Mikes Resting spot on Saturday Jan. 7th (1 year anniversary)@ 2pm. Nothing fancy, just a chance to get together and remember our Friend who left us WAY too early. East Lawn cemetary 5801 e Grant rd. Everyday you pop into my head!! Almost every song I hear reminds me of you. You were everyones BEST FRIEND in some way. You made everyone laugh even though you werent. WE will never forget you!! Not ever!

It has been almost a year and it seems like you were singing at my show just last night. We all miss your great personality, knowledge and most of all your friendship. There will never be another who could do so much for so many in one life time.  As you go from day to day we all feel your hand on our shoulder, guiding us through our lives like you never left, thanks my great friend and rest peacefully throughout the annals of time.

Just sitting here thinking about Mike and wishing I had picked up the phone just 2 weeks before that horrible day, I miss all the riding we did together and I'll forever be indebted to him for trusting and teaching me on the Night Hawk. You were one of the  first few people I met when i moved here 10yrs ago from Canada.  You always had open arms, a smile and open heart. I can't hardly begin to express how my heart feels now knowing that when I sing certain songs it will never be the same. I'm gonna always think of you and have a smile because you brought my heart that much happiness. The Lion in the "Wizard of Oz" had nothing on you baby. Especially singing "King of the Forest". I know your beside your king now and with that Blessed voice are singing praises unto the Lord himself. I sing our songs and I sing them proud as I feel you with me in my heart.

I read your guest book with great interest.Although you had a short time on earth it sounds like you took full advantage of it to make a difference in others lifes. I was shocked and heartbroken to hear the news about Mike's passing (God Rest His Soul).  He will be missed by all of us who knew him, and he'll never be forgotten.  My Thoughts and Prayers go out to his Parents, Brother, and Daughter.

I just wanted to let you know how heart broken I was to learn of Mikes passing. I pray for comfort and peace for you all. 
He was a wonderful man with a big heart and a good friend. Although we have known each other since childhood, we really didn't talk a lot until our high school years. And we could talk a lot .... Mike was a great listener! He had a peaceful calming smile and he always made you feel that everything would be ok. 
I just wanted to let you all know that he will be dearly missed and that he touched my life and it sounds like he touched many other lives as well and that doesn't surprise me at all!
To Mike, I was so happy to get in touch again about a year ago and catch up with each other lives. Thank you for always being you and making me and everyone else feel good!!!! Until we meet again, peace to you.

I just heard about Mike's passing away this morning! I dated Mike in the early 80's. We used to go roller skating all the time... (Skate Country) We had gone with a bunch of friends on an all night skate a few times. Wow, it was so many yrs ago! We went to Palo Verde H.S. together, and we had so much fun! Wow I miss those days. From the pictures I see.... You haven't change a bit! Rip Mike!

I was very heart broken when I found out about this news. Even though it has been years...it feels like yesterday. In all my Karaoke days I have never met someone so blessed with such a great singing talent from God. You could go from Neil Diamond to Sonny &(Cher) to Poisons Every rose has its thorns....and never miss a beat! My prayers go out for the family you have left behind.

I can still hear Mike coming in my front door growing up saying "hey sis" or "hi mom kain"...he will be missed.  A friend gave me this poem when my mom passed.

Sylvia, Butch, Tony, I was shocked to hear from Tanya that Mike had passed away.  I feel like I lost a member of my family today.  I am so sorry.  I am also sorry that I haven't kept in touch with all of you, it makes me feel bad and I wish I could be there with you all.  Mike had a big heart and he could always make me laugh.  He will be sorely missed.  I love you all and my heart is with you.

Although separated by miles and years, I will never forget the childhood lesson Mike taught me... use a separate knife for both the peanut butter and jelly.  I'm sure he took my lesson, too: somebody ELSE has to do the dishes.  That summer so many years ago is forever in my memory.
I hope the lovely memories of joy Mike brought to those who loved him, especially Michaela, can emerge once time has helped buffer the pain of loss.

Wow words can't even express the feeling I have on this great loss.  Mike has been one of my best friends for over 15 years.  He always kept in contact with me threw email, text and phone calls.  I have so many happy memories with Mike some bad also but with mike the goods ones shined bright.  He last called me jan 5th to wish me a happy birthday, he ended the conversation with Love ya Peglet.  I will always remember and cherish those words.  Bye for now Mike, when I come up there we will ride your motorcycle again and I promise not to drop it this time hahaha ok.

Miky, You were like a brother to me through thick and thin. We shared a LOT of good times and worked on a LOT of motorcycles. thank you for getting me into motorcycles and teaching me how to work on them. because you got me into motorcycles, I now have an extended family. In all my years in the entertainment business i have never found a person who had the talent and the heart to make any song he sung his own.  He was the best when it came to reproducing any song by Neil Diamond.  He was a great friend and a great person.  He will be sorely missed.  We who knew him have lost a great friend.  There is a song by Vince Gill entitled "Go Rest High on that Mountain" which i have dedicated to the memory of Mikey.  We at Major Dad's Entertainment Services will play this song and dedicate it to his memory for as long as his memory exists for a person never really leaves us as long as just one person remembers what a great person he was in life.  May he sing to the angels for eternity for it is there gain and our loss.  Someday we will all meet and once again sing together.
