Mickey died peacefully on August 10, 2025 surrounded by family and friends.
Mickey was born and raised in Excelsior, MN, to Lloyd and Betty Miller. He served 6 years in the Navy right out of high school and went on to study at ASU and UA College of Medicine.
He was an ER doctor for over 30 years, first at TMC, then finishing his career at the VA hospital.
His loss will be felt by so many: the fellow veterans and patients he cared for, the staff he always treated so well, and his colleagues who respected and admired his skill, humor and spunk.
His family will remember him as being kind, warm, funny, smart and generous.
It was an honor to be his wife and I will miss him every single day.
Mickey is survived by his wife, Gaby, his children, Katie (Zach) and Bryan (Brittany), his step daughters, Emily (Jordan), Casey (Steve) and Megan (Colby),
his siblings, Joe (Barb), Barry and Jane, and three nieces and a nephew, Michelle (Nick), Kris, Mel and Dan. Mickey had seven grandchildren he adored and who will miss him dearly.
