82, of Tucson passed away September 2, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J. D. Calcote. Myra is survived by her son, Keith, her daughter-in-law, Jyl Calcote, and her grandson, Cade. Myra graduated from Newcomb College in New Orleans. She married Dr. J. D. Calcote in New Orleans in 1954. Myra dedicated her life to teaching children. She was the children's director at 22nd St. Baptist Church and later at Sabino Road Baptist Church and ran the Vacation Bible School at both. Myra was the Regional Coordinator for Arizona Baptist Children's Services. A Funeral Service will be held at Sabino Road Baptist Church, 2710 N. Sabino Canyon Road, on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with reception to follow. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.
