Nancy Jane Boudy was called home by God on August 11, 2025. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted servant of God, she was born on May 29, 1944, in Chillicothe, Ohio. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio, graduating from East High School, where her lifelong love of music blossomed as a member of the school marching band. From her earliest years, Nancy’s heart was drawn to melody and harmony, and her voice, powerful yet angelic, became the instrument through which she expressed her most profound devotion to the Lord.
After high school, Nancy embarked on a remarkable career in the Federal Civil Service System, serving faithfully as an Administrative Security Specialist. Her dedication, skill, and professionalism earned her numerous awards and accolades throughout her 30-year career. In 2015, she retired with honor, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and integrity in her field.
But Nancy’s true calling was her ministry in music, a ministry born of her profound faith and her desire to share God’s love with others. She was a gifted singer, songwriter, and pianist who played beautifully by ear. Her voice had a range and purity that inspired all who heard it, lifting hearts toward Heaven. She shared this gift not for her own glory, but to magnify the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Her music ministry carried her far and wide, blessing congregations across the nation and abroad. She sang at numerous military installations, including Sheppard AFB, TX (two tours), Torrejon AB, Spain, Andrews AFB, MD, Chanute AFB, IL, Keesler AFB, MS (two tours), Reese AFB, TX, Misawa AB, Japan, and with the gospel service at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. Everywhere she went, she poured her heart into every note, bringing comfort, encouragement, and the message of God’s unwavering love.
Nancy’s greatest joy, however, was her family. She cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, pouring into each relationship with boundless love, wisdom, and prayer. She is survived by her devoted husband, Alvin R. Boudy Sr.; her five children, Nicole B. Boudy, Alvin R. Boudy Jr., Christopher M. Boudy, André J. Boudy, and Craig P. Boudy; her 15 grandchildren; and her 5 great-grandchildren.
Though her earthly journey has ended, Nancy’s song continues. She now rests in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, her voice joining the choirs of angels as she walks the streets of gold in Heaven. We rejoice in knowing she has received her eternal reward, singing forever in the presence of the One she so faithfully served. Praise God for her life, her love, and her legacy.
