Norma Evelyn Durbin, 87, died peacefully Nov. 16, 2014, in Peppi’s House hospice, Tucson. Born 1927, in Effingham, Illinois, daughter of Walter and Flossie (Bricker) Manuel, she lived in Illinois through 1974, with several years in New York City and Arkansas. She was a glove factory worker, a cake decorator, a store clerk at Macy’s in New York City, a parking lot attendant at the University of Arizona, and a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker.
She married Aloysius Grunloh in 1943 in New York, and is survived by son Robert Grunloh and daughter-in-law Deborah Grunloh, and by daughter Julie Harrell and son-in-law Don Harrell. She married Stanley Durbin in 1961, and is survived by son Bradley Durbin.
Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at noon at East Lawn Cemetery with a reception afterwards.
