Ramon T. Contreras

Ramon was known to many as Raymond or Ray.

Raymond was born on November 7, 1948 in Lordsburg, New Mexico to Juan and Rosa

Contreras. He graduated from Lordsburg High School and enlisted in the Army, where

he fought in the Vietnam War. He also served in the National Guard. Raymond married

his high school sweetheart Candelaria Morelos and had three children:

Raymond Gregory Contreras, Sonya Marie Villalta, and Adam Gabriel Contreras, all of

Tucson, AZ.

Raymond leaves behind his children to cherish his memories: Sonya and Salvador

(spouse) Villalta ,Adam Gabriel Contreras and Raymond Gregory Contreras (preceded

in death).

He leaves behind grandchildren: Alexandra, Brandon, Gabriella, Fernando, Claudia and

Adam Jr. He also leaves behind great grandchildren: Alexander, Isabella, Edward Dean,

and Romeo.

Raymond is survived by siblings:

Juanita C. Varela of Silver City,NM, Lydia C. Garcia of Silver City, NM, Guadalupe C.

and Edward Estrada(spouse) of Las Cruces,NM, Joe Contreras and Jill Johnson of

Vail,AZ. John T. and Cindy Contreras (spouse) of Phoenix, AZ.,Mary C. and Dale

Waibel (spouse) of Hereford, AZ., Rosalinda C. and Bill Mendoza (spouse) of

Alamagordo, NM. Raymond leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We will dearly miss your smile, hugs, and words of encouragement.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Khadi Care Center for their

care and compassion for Ray.
