Reatha Lenora Howard

Beloved Mom and Grandma, Reatha was born in Loveland, Colo. and moved with her family to Phoenix in 1930. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1941. In August, 1941, she and Jay were married and moved to Bisbee where they raised their family. Reatha is survived by her two loving daughters, Sandy Dutton (Dennis Oliver) of Huachuca City, Linda (Carley) Riggs of Tucson; the grandchildren who made her proud, Sherry Garcia (Frank) of Grants, N.M.; Jeff Riggs (Jennifer Beaman) of Cave Creek, Teressa Chicago (Ace) and Diana Riggs, all of Tucson; and the great-grandchildren who made her smile, Patrick, Matthew, Amanda, Dominick, Scrapper, Allie, and Brady.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Waychoff and Pharis Helling; husband, Robert “Jay” Howard; sister, Alberta Hunter; and granddaughter, Sharon Lee Bremmer.

A private family ceremony was held to celebrate Reatha’s life. Cremation rites are under the direction of Desert Rose Cremation and burial in Tucson.
