

Ricardo Armenta Trejo Sr. was blessed to be united with his heavenly family as he peacefully passed away at the age of 80 years old on January 13, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at his bedside. Ricardo was born on November 18, 1941 to Gabino and Isabel Trejo in Tucson AZ. He graduated from Refrigeration School AZ., receiving an Associate degree from PCC AZ.
As a teenager Ricardo made the honorable decision to join the military and proudly serve his country. Ricardo’s military career included four different branches: United States Air Force 1959-1962 Fire Fighter, Crash Rescue serving in Germany (17 Yrs. old); United States Army Reserves 1962-1965 Infantry AZ.; United States Navy Reserves Sea Bees DIV. AZ. 1974; Air National Guard AZ.; Retired Military service 1984.
Ricardo worked at Tucson School District #1 Shops at various school campuses; Rincon High, Tucson High, Sahuaro High, and Sabino High from which he retired.
In addition to his parents, was predeceased by sisters Belen Trejo, Julieta, brother Gabino "Gabby", brother-in-law Lester, and loving nieces and nephews. Surviving in addition to his wife, Margarita Trejo, are his son Richard Trejo Jr. (Nancy), daughter Vivian Trejo (Melissa), son Mauricio Trejo (Joanne), daughter Aurora Hernandez (Albert), son Alex Martinez (Cecelia), and son Hector Martinez (Mickey), brother Gilbert Trejo (Barbara), sister Carolina Jones, brother Lambert Trejo, brother Oscar Trejo, brother Benny Trejo (Sylvia), sister Mary Henley (Bill), sister Sylvia, brother Pete Trejo, brother David Trejo (Susan), sister Blanca. Grand children: Cynthia, Anthony, Shady, Isabella, Avonna, Abriel, Anya, Angelica, Jeanette, Veronica, Valerie, Hector Jr., Gabriana, Alec. Great grandchildren; Izaiah, Arilena, Arya, Maleah, Avayah, Christian, Abriel, Desire, Marcos, Javier, Nailea, Isabel, Carolina, Aaliyah, Giselle, Alexis.
Ricardo will be remembered for his teasing jokes, his wildly entertaining stories, his unfailing work ethic, his generous smile, and his willingness to come at any time day or night to help any loved one, friend or neighbor in need. He taught us that all obstacles in life can be conquered, and his greatest lesson, our lives are our story, and we should always love, laugh, and share our stories our way, even if they stray a little off course.
