Richard was born in St Paul, Minnesota. He was very active in the Boy Scouts. He served his country in the Army Air Corp and survived a plane crash during World War II. He married Doris DuBrava in 1949 and they were married for 50 years. Richard was a geologist and traveled to many parts of the world both for business and pleasure. He loved playing bridge, listening to opera, hiking, and talking politics.
He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Cribbs of Tucson AZ, Brother Robert Cribbs of Mt Vernon IA, and granddaughter Lori Cribbs of Vancouver BC.
He is survived by his children William (Jan) Cribbs of Las Vegas, NV; Susan (Brad) Tollefson of Indianapolis, IN; Richard Cribbs of Las Vegas; NV; Mary (Scott) McConnell of Huntsville AL and Lori Riley of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren Jeremy (Kelly) Gibson, Rachael Cribbs, Rhea (PJ) Lindsay, Ryan McConnell, Danielle Riley, Jessica Riley and Joshua Riley; and great grandchildren Chloe, Ashley, Aidan, Callen, Emilia, Grace and Vivian.
