Rita Eismon-Galavez (née Gradillas), age 73, passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. Born in Tombstone, Arizona, on December 28, 1951, Rita lived a life defined by love, service, and devotion to her family.
She was the beloved daughter of Arturo and Maria Teresa (Mendivil) Gradillas and the cherished sister of Ana (Gradillas) Meza and her husband Tony. Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Eismon, and remained devoted to his memory throughout her life.
Rita was a proud and loving mother to her son Edward Arthur Eismon and his wife Megan, and a deeply adored Nana to her granddaughter Mackenzie Mae Eismon. She was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her second granddaughter, due in June 2025.

In her retirement, she found great happiness spending time with her granddaughter and recently joined the Catholic Daughters at Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church—a role she was incredibly proud of. Her days were often filled with conversations with friends, lunches out, and cherished moments with family.
A Mass of Intention will be held in Rita’s honor on May 3, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Following the Mass, a celebration of life will take place at her son’s residence.
