

Robert Hirsch, 83, left us on August 10, 2018 with his family by his side in Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Chicago, Illinois June 20, 1935 to August and Hilda Hirsch. He married Alma (Kramer) Hirsch September 12, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois.
Bob spent his time serving others in any way he could. He traveled throughout the country helping build churches. Some of his mission trips included Ivory Coast, Munich, Germany, Guatemala, Pine Dale, NM; and several Native American Reservations in Arizona. He was active with Teen Challenge. He was involved when Tucson Teen Challenge first opened back in the 1970’s by putting up the first sign for Teen Challenge in Tucson. He continued to support Teen Challenge in any way he could. He was a strong and genuine Christian, and his family was his priority. He enjoyed racing cars, and at one time set a world speed record on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Much of his time was spent making memories with his wife, Alma, traveling to Alaska, Hawaii and Germany.
He is survived by his wife, Alma and three children, Sandra (Larry) Chance of Gilbert, AZ; Robert Jr.(Becky) Hirsch of Tucson, AZ; and Sharon (William) Wayne of Norman, OK; brother, Fred Hirsch; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services and Interment will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary at 5801 E. Grant Rd. 85712 on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Steve Hilton from Glad Tidings Assembly of God, and Rev. Snow Peabody of Teen Challenge of Arizona officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tucson Teen Challenge to P.O. Box 5966 Tucson, AZ 85703 or www.tcaz.org
